I studied a summer school in glass design at Pukeberg glassworks in the Swedish "kingdom of crystal". My main project focussed on abstract body parts in glass.
I used pink coloured glass, which is then sandblasted to give a soft, skin like texture, and holds little resemblance to typical glass pieces. The pieces are mainly mould blown, using plaster moulds created from simple clay forms which are forced into drying plaster. This creates a randomness in the glass which cannot be expected when creating the mould.
